Tony Stewart wins in the #80 Hendrickcars.com Chevy Tony Stewart wasn't the only winner after his victory in Daytona (Fla) International Speedway last month, Fred Swift of Rosenhayn, N.J. won Stewart's race-worn fire suit from the Feb 14th NASCAR Nationwide Series event. Swift entered the drawing thanks to the Hendrick Automotive Group and Hendrickcars.com and was randomly chosen out of 22,000 entries. Rick Hendrick called Fred to notify him of his win and congratulate him. This was Tony's first race racing for Rick Hendrick and Hendrick Motorsports and is now one-for-one with the team. The car was numbered #80 representing all of the Hendrick Automotive Group franchises. Hendrick Motorpsorts has retired the #80 Chevy raced by Tony Stewart, but it will now embark on a nationwide dealership tour of all the Hendrick Automotive Group dealerships. Keep checking back for exact dates but you can expect to see the #80 Hendrickcars.com stop by Jeff Gordon Chevrolet in Wilmington, NC around August 2009.

On Monday May 19th Jeff Gordon Chevrolet hosted their Sake Kids Buckle Up campaign. Over 20 cub scouts attended with their siblings and parents. These hands-on educational activities are conducted by Safe Kids Coalitions and designed to educate families with older children - ages 7 to 10 - about being safe inside and outside of moving and parked vehicles. After the Scouts successfully completed all of the educational stations (spot the tot, how hot a vehicle gets, safety trunk latch, seat belt test and Onstar) they were presented with their Automotive Safety Patch. Pictures from the 2008 Coastal Carolina Airshow - April 19th & 20th, Wilmington NC
Chevrolet were a major sponsor this year providing over 100 vehicles, 70 of which were the brand new 08 Malibu. The airshow attracted thousands of spectators on both days for their chance to watch the main attraction - The Tunderbirds. Also in attendance was the Golden Knights, The Aeroshell North American Team, F-15 Strike Eagle Demo Team and much more!
